Happy New Year, everyone! Thank you all for a fun and successful 2022, and I'm looking forward to continuing to do small things well for 2023. Aside from the usual carpentry, shelving, assembly, lighting, ceiling fans, and faucet projects I usually do, I got the chance to build a sauna, a couple of woodsheds, helped frame a house, and came up with solutions to match door and baseboard trim dating from the '30s and '40s.

For 2023 I'd like to build a dining table from some Red Oak I milled in March of 2020 at the beginning of the pandemic, and I still want to learn how to make stained-glass windows, which I'd like to do in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. The table is a lot more likely to happen than the stained glass!

I wish you all well in your endeavors for the coming year, and much health and happiness!

This was a fun request: Cut some arrows for a distances signpost. To give them the rustic look, they were cut from scraps of rough-hewn lumber, fence pickets, and even tree bark from logs on the firewood pile. The painting was *not* done by me, as anyone who has seen my penmanship and lettering skills can attest. The family I cut these for painted them with the places they found special and mounted them to a post in their backyard oasis.

Happy New Year, everyone! Thank you all again for a wonderful and busy 2021, and hopefully we'll be up for a safe and busy 2022. A couple of jobs I've completed over the last few months, and I'll try to be better about posting more of what I've been doing, although I much prefer doing things rather than posting on facebook : )

As usual, I have been busier working than I have posting. Some of the highlights over the last few months are a bike shed, an aerated concrete address post artfully designed by the customer, more ceiling fan replacements than you can possibly imagine, and some around-the-corner custom book shelves. This is all in addition to the usual small-scale carpentry and bathroom refreshes. I'm still having fun and still taking care of everyone, one job at a time. Thank you!

As always, you have all kept me very busy, and I appreciate it! If you have tried reaching out to me via cell phone/text and I haven’t responded to you within 24 hours, there is a good probability that the message never came through. Sprint has been brutal with lost texts and VMs lately, and today I have switched to another carrier. My apologies to anyone left hanging due to this, I’m hoping the switchover takes care of this problem. In the meantime please try contacting me again in a day or two, or send me a message though Facebook.
Stay safe out there and enjoy this wonderful Spring weather!

Recent small jobs included trimming out some doors and windows, installing a sliding track for an under-counter trash can, replacing a leaking faucet and some wood rot on a pair of French doors, and replacing light fixtures, among a bunch of other things.

A quickie bathroom remodel: the homeowner had removed the baseboards and most of the flooring, so all we had to do was remove the old toilet and vanity, run to Home Depot for materials, patch the wall behind the vanity, lay new floor and install the new toilet and vanity, as well as cut and shape the threshold. This took one day.

More photos of things done over the last couple of months. Photos without context frequently don’t explain anything, so if you have any questions on anything you see, feel free to reach out to me and I’ll be happy to answer any questions. I have *way* too many photos in this phone 😳

As usual, I’m slow to update this page. Just A couple of photos to let you all know I’m still playing with tools and having fun. The cedar roof was part of a light refreshing on a playhouse I did back in October, and the photo of string lights I hung on 1/16 stainless steel cable over a small courtyard was sent to me by the homeowner as viewed from the other side of the pool.
