Lovely customer Karena Miller spotted this Vintage English Barley Twist coffee table of ours online while it was being used for staging at our 2936 Brandemere listing (last slide, available for sale— go check out this gorgeous home!) and knew it would be the perfect piece for her cozy & classic home and she was SO right! Though our specialty is mid century modern, we have so much love for those special traditional & eclectic pieces and homes too. We love it when our customers see the vision! Thanks, Karena! It is always such an honor when I get to purchase items directly from the original owners and hear their stories. This gorgeous living room suite, fully designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates, was loved and cherished by a lovely local lady & her late husband, who bought the set as newlyweds in the 1960s and moved it across the country dozens of times over the last 60 years because they couldn’t bare to part with their treasured pieces when his Military career moved them far and wide. It has since been recovered from its original fabric but you can tell it’s been meticulously cared for. She was thrilled knowing it was going to go to Rare Bird where it could find a home with those who really & truly appreciate the history and design of pieces like this. It’s a beautiful reminder that these incredible things can and should outlive us all if we give them the care they deserve. There is something so magical about treasures treated with love and passed down to the next steward.
