West Oakland Woodworks West Oakland Woodworks is a California-based design company founded in 2019 by woodworker and designer Matthew Woolley.

Working with live edge slabs, steel, salvaged lumber, and upcycled materials, we produce heirloom pieces that will last a lifetime.

This one started as a couple rough walnut slabs and an idea. Milling the slabs, fabricating the metal base, fitting the joinery, and finishing everything by hand. Each step building on the last.

2. Walnut with ebony bow tie inlays and Nakashima style base.
3. White Oak with tapered mid mod legs.

A while back,my neighbor gave me some walnut from a tree he cut down in his yard. So, I made this little end table and another one just like it. It’s pretty low profile cause I wanted something small to fit in our tiny apartment. How do you like the design?
