Getting ready to deliver this reclaimed antique trolley cart now used as a cocktail table to it’s new home. Found years ago under a pile of old crates, being used to shuttle things around in an antique store, we grabbed it knowing that one day it would find the right home. Removing the damaged and oil soaked center section, we replaced that with beautiful oak planks that we aged to match the original framing. Off it goes, but stays in our mind as yet another beautiful piece we will always remember. Hard to let go of this one!

What a fun project we were able to do for our dear friend ’s wedding! We definitely put our laser to work with these custom screens for her and alter. We are thrilled they will be keepsakes for her and her family for years to come. Congrats guys on your wedding!! Wish you both nothing but the best!!

Designing a creative solution for a functional need.

Our clients had a big wall in their living room that needed something unique to fill and also have storage. We had an ah ha moment and this is what we came up with. Going in theme with their home, we created a floating cubbie with French cleat rail system. The cubbies and rails are a mix of walnut and white oak. The cubbies with white oak are actually push open/close doors to hide away pieces they can keep out of sight. A cool feature of the entire system, is that because we are using a french cleat rail system, the client can reposition each and every cubbie until they reach their desired look. The finishing piece was the vertical metal pieces, we painted in theme with the metalwork in the room.

We are thrilled on how this came out! We love a good challenge! Please let us know what you think!

It’s the small things. The meaningful things. The hand made things. When a favorite Laburnum (Golden Chain) tree had to be taken from our front yard due to a fungus, we were left with a few thicker branches and the trunk. The wood inside was beautiful! Curious what could be come of these cast offs, , our amazing wood/metal magician, turned this sweet little candle holder. It’s so precious to me. I looked out my window months into years into a decade at that lovely tree, and now I get to return a piece of it to our home and put a little light in the window where I once admired it. These are the things that make a home.

This signed and numbered ( #1) piece hits the floor today. Hewn from a decades old slab of oak, and fitted with metal legs and hidden support, we named this piece Flight, for both it’s floating appearance and wonderful swirls of movement in the grain. We had a bright idea one day creating a wall sconce out of a vintage scooter seat. The seat actually still works so when the seat was used to prop open to fill the gas, it now lifts to replace the Edison bulbs. What do you think?
