“Louisiana Christmas Tree”

Joyeux Noël from the Bayou State!

Adorned in lights, the cypress tree is ready for Christmas. I hope you like it!

Side note: Yes, this is an actual photo I took (see my feed for the original), but yes, the lights have been added digitally. Why? 1) Because I wanted to fulfill my imagination. 2) Because putting real lights on this cypress would damage the tree, especially during removal and 3) the tree is actually around 25’ tall and standing in 8’ of water, so putting lights on it from a boat would be impossible/dangerous.

Y’all were so supportive of “Christmas Star,” that I decided to try to up my game this morning by adding color to the front of the tree. I hope the results turn out. 🤞

This also gives you an idea of what it looks like to capture one of these lightscapes. You can see the warm light behind the tree and the green spotlight to the left casting a slight green glow on the tree.
