Ok classmates.....We have a date set! It looks like Saturday June 10th is the day! We have worked out the details with Muddy Jakes. It looks like no pre-pay is needed. We will have hamburger/hot dog (grill menu) and drinks available, so bring cash or card to pay. We will also have a live band the "Muddy River Band" playing for us. We just need a headcount estimate to set up tables and chairs. I'm working on setting up a new "reunion page" so be looking for it. I'm not quite sure why but I think this one is not real FB friendly and everyone is not seeing the posts. Please share with any classmates that you know and are in contact with! Ok, Class of 97 it's time to start finalizing the plans for our 20th reunion! 20 yrs! Where has the time gone?

A few other classes have had their reunion through Muddy Jakes, which is downtown off the square. We have looked into this and seems like the best and cheapest option. They charge a set amount around $20-25, they block off an area of the street, set up tables, provide a taco bar and 2 drinks included in price. I think there is also the option to have a live band playing. What is everyone's thought on this vs an indoor venue that is catered (which will increase the cost)

Also we have considered being outside in the hot, humid climate so we are looking at early Summer or possibly even in the Fall. We just thought a Summer date would be more convenient for those that are involved in sports and kids activities once school starts back. Please leave me your opinion, and feedback, or suggestions! I ordered a spray of flowers from Flowerland florist in SS. She is going to fix a ribbon that says Coach and one that says Class of 97. The cost is around $100-125. I put some money down and she is leaving the account "class of 97" open for any donations, she will bill me the rest. She will just cut off donations if it has been paid for and you are more than welcome to pick out something else if you wish. Thanks so much, and God Bless you all.

Many of you may have heard but if not Coach Lee Daniel passed away this morning. He was such a great man that influenced the lives of many at SSHS. I plan on calling a florist in SS and ordering a spray of flowers from the Class of 97. I felt led to do so since he was such a special man and his daughter Summer was also one of our classmates. I will give more details as I know them. I will give the florist name so if anyone wants to call or go by to contribute to the flowers you may do so since we don't have a class account. So I tried it a little different this yr and it back fired!!! Collected $ at the door and we had alot of no shows from people that RSVP'd that they were attending. If you are able to help me out with the $900 I'm in the hole it would be great. If people that know they RSVP for the $20 pp and want to cover there cost please let me know. I will message u details and my address. I'm sorry to bother people with this :( learned the hard way, next time i will be collecting $ up front.

Ok, so now I find out that dairy festival is on June 16th also. I'm afraid this is going to effect a lot of classmates that have younger kids involved. I'm thinking of moving it to June 30th. Any opinions or feedback please!?!?
