Where Art Meets Heritage:
In the heart of the Appalachians of Tazewell, Virginia, Cindi Killen Lamie has found a way to blend her love for tradition, nature, and creativity into something truly extraordinary. Through her work at Killen Time Creations, she transforms forgotten furniture into stunning pieces of art, breathing new life into what others might discard.
Cindi's journey is deeply rooted in her Appalachian heritage. After years away, she returned to her childhood home in 2022—a 1903 treasure steeped in family history—and began restoring it with the same care and passion she brings to her art. Her creations are more than just furniture; they're a celebration of resilience, transformation, and the beauty of the natural world.
A Fusion of Art and Sustainability
Cindi's work is a nod to the harmony between recycling and honoring the environment. By repurposing old frames and furniture, she highlights the beauty of the forest and the importance of preserving our natural resources. Each piece tells a story, blending restoration with reinvention, and reflects the Appalachian tradition of respecting the land and its history.
Through Killen Time Creations, Cindi continues to honor the past while reimagining the future, one piece of furniture at a time.
