Church Welcome Center / Child Check-in for New Vision Fellowship, Madison NC.
This was a unique and fun piece to build. The four cabinets were built using red oak. The back cabinet is fixed to the wall while the other three are on wheels. This allows for the opportunity to reconfigure the look of the church foyer to match each event. The twin cabinets are 48 inches tall at the floating top, stained with Minwax Honey. A black trim to separate the top with the multi stained front. Age Barrel, Slate and Natural stains were used for the front and sides of the short and twin cabinets. Behind the counter the top is 38 inches tall, giving the hospitality member an excellent working height. There are drawers and shelves in each cabinet to store supplies.
The shorter rolling cabinet is 33 inches tall to assist handicapped individuals. This piece also has the child check-in device. Where parents can signin and recieve their child's nametag with individual security code. One of the ways New Vision is making their childrens ministry safe and secure.
These four cabinets add to the warm inviting atmosphere found at New Vision.
Each of the countertops was made and finished by Buddie Adkins. They are maple and stained in the same honey as the floating tops. These countertops help make the entire piece complete.
It was great to pair up with a good friend to complete this project.
