I have absolutely no idea. But I have one for sale.

Today’s drop at Antiques 2 Chic, Booth #143 includes that magnificent piece of rooftop history, adorable vintage porcelain baby planters, some fabulous storage bins, and a whole stack of books ranging from 1960s sewing instructions to college football and Civil War drama.

𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝗜’𝗺 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁. 🤍

A few months ago, one little Cockle Cascade turned into a collection of Coastal Blooms and Coastal Cascades.

And then I came home from Bear Island with an oyster shell I couldn’t stop looking at—and a whole lot of jingle shells in the very same smoky grays, creams, amber and gold.

So, for the first time, I mixed them.

One oyster. Dozens of jingles. Six strands of h**p. All natural color. And an entirely new shape that I pretty much made up as I went along.

I’m not quite sure yet whether she’s a Bloom, a Cascade…or the beginning of something new.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴. 🤍

I’ve made exactly two Baby Ear Cascades—each one hand-knotted from nearly 200 tiny white baby ear shells.

The first made its way to Texas, to someone who shares my love for the NC coast. 🤍

The second was made as a birthday gift for a dear friend and is now living its very best life in Wilmington. And judging by these photos, I’d say it found exactly the right home.

There’s something pretty special about watching a pile of shells on my worktable become something that eventually hangs in someone else’s home.

🐚 Well… they’re finding homes.

When I introduced my first Cockle Cascade, I ended by asking what might come next.

Turns out, quite a bit. 🤍

That little experiment has grown into a collection of blooms and cascades, and several pieces have already found their way home through Boro Girl Boutique — including three that went home with one customer.

I restocked with these three: a Baby’s Ear Cascade and two Atlantic Bay Scallop Blooms — one in warm coastal tones, and one creamy white with natural stripes.

No paint. No dyes. No two alike.

We don’t always make old things look new.

Sometimes we just make them worth noticing again. 🤎

Two pieces. Two completely different beginnings. And two things that were just too freaking cool to give up on.

An old industrial fan became a one-of-a-kind statement table.

A weathered mid-century patio chair kept every bit of its beautiful age — cleaned and sealed, wood arms refinished, and sides restrung with natural twine.

𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭. 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫.

There’s something satisfying about bringing a well-made piece back to life.

This solid oak A. Brandt Ranch Oak end table has all the details that made these pieces favorites decades ago—a built-in magazine rack, a dovetail drawer, and my favorite surprise…the drawer opens from either side, making it perfect between two chairs.

The natural oak top and drawer let the craftsmanship shine, while the satin black finish gives it a fresh, modern home.
