Two Floors. Several Spaces. One Installation.

RDI recently completed a two-floor workplace installation for a manufacturing facility, furnishing spaces designed for work, collaboration, training, and everyday employee use.

Led by foreman Paul Meyer, the project included:
1st Floor
• 12 private offices
• Large and small conference rooms
• Waiting area with 6 seats
• Computer training area with 4 workstations
• Lunchroom with 8 tables and 44 chairs

2nd Floor
• 10 private offices
• Large and small conference rooms
• Training room with 4 tables and 54 chairs

From individual offices to large training environments, our team coordinated the installation across two floors and a wide variety of workplace settings.

477 Workstations. One Big Teardown. A Lot of Planning.

Decommissioning isn't always about clearing a space and hauling everything away. For this project, RDI disassembled 477 workstations and carefully sorted the furniture and components based on their next destination.
• 106 workstations were relocated and staged for future reuse, along with additional parts.
• 30 workstations were relocated and added to inventory.
• The remaining 341 workstations, minus saved components, were loaded for disposal.

The result isn't necessarily pretty, and that's okay. The real work was in disassembling, sorting, staging, inventorying, and moving hundreds of workstations efficiently and responsibly.

Led by foreman Paul Meyer, our team handled the entire teardown and relocation process in coordination with Modern Business Interiors.

Sometimes the best part of a decommissioning project is what gets saved for the next one.

Behind the scenes at a large-scale RDI installation.

This space includes 160+ workstations, 25 private offices, conference rooms, gathering spaces, and a large cafeteria, all brought together as part of one extensive healthcare workplace installation. A landlord had a new tenant moving in who needed 12 workstations.

Instead of sourcing an entirely new furniture package, RDI went into the landlord's existing inventory, pulled the right components, configured the workstations to the tenant's needs, and completed the installation.

12 workstations. One streamlined process.

Managing the inventory ourselves meant we could move quickly and turn available furniture into a finished workspace without unnecessary sourcing, purchasing, or delays.

For landlords and property managers, that's the advantage of having inventory management + furniture installation handled by the same team.
