I've been so sick of the same old trash can and did not want to purchase the typical plastic or metal trashcan. So I decided why not just build my own out of pieces I already have. Nightstand + coffee table legs + funky door k***s = cute antique looking trash can. Now I am looking for an antique door k**b for the handle. What do you think?

I have had this old picture frame in my garage for years. I didn't want to get rid of but didn't really want to hang it in my house. I painted it with some extra spray paint, added some galvanized buckets found at tractor supply, and flowers to make a unique plant holder. I'm loving it! I'm not digging the ivy or other trailing plants I picked out. They aren't trailing like I had hoped. Anyone know of any other trailing plants I could get for this? Maybe I should be thinking of Fall plants?? Let me know your thoughts on how I can make this better.

So I have been trying to work on items for my bedroom. One of my pet peeves is that my husband thinks he just has to have a box fan. Honestly, I have gotten used to it too. The ugly plastic box sitting on my dresser will never gain my approval, though!! I had to come up with something different. While doing some antique shopping with my mom, we were able to find a working antique window fan! The motor on this thing has to be built strong! It is amazing how far away you can be from this thing to feel its breeze. The sounds of the blades turning remind me of old days at my grandmothers during the hot summer days when she had old box fans sitting around. I purchased it and added in an old wooden toy box with some yellow chalk paint and antique glaze. The end result is one of my favorite projects so far!! If anyone is interested in one of these, let me know. I will try my best to be on the look out and make you a customized box fan!!

My mom and I found this chicken feeder at one of the many awesome antique stores here in Springfield. She bought it for me, but I had no clue what I was going to do with it. I just knew it would be cute somewhere. After redoing my porch for the summer time, I decided I needed some ambiance. I got my drill, some burlap ribbon and led lighting, and I came up with this. I think it looks very adorable during the day. To my surprise, the night atmosphere it adds to my front porch is amazing!! WoW!! I want to pitch a tent on my front porch--lol. If anyone wants something like this for your porch, just let me know and I'll be on the look out for something that would work.

This beauty is now finished and up for sale. It has been painted with seaside beach chalk paint and finished up with a clear and antique brown glaze. This is a solid piece of furniture. It is very sturdy. The dimensions are 48" l x 16" h x 23"w. Price is $75.
