The Springfield Police Department’s Narcotics Unit continues to take he**in off the street.

On Wednesday at 2pm, members of the Narcotics Unit under the direction of Captain Brian Keenan and members of the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section executed a search warrant at an apartment located at 74 Grenada Terrace.

1640 bags of he**in were recovered along with approximately 15 grams of raw he**in. A bag if co***ne was also recovered along with more than $1300 in cash.

27 yr old Lemanuel Encarnacion & 32 yr old Karen Garcia were arrested for he**in trafficking, possession of a Class B (co***ne) substance and violation of a drug free school zone.

The Springfield Police arrested Encarnacion and Garcia together in May for he**in possession. They were currently out on bail. Encarnacion is also currently on probation for possession to distribute co***ne.
