Well, we’ve almost finished with phase one (missing some cabinet k***s as you can see) of the rehab and we moved in this past week…with our 2 kids and our 2 dirty dogs and our many many boxes! I hope this house survives us haha. We opened our store this week too (come check out the Liquor Cabinet on Laurel St., if that’s your kind of thing), so needless to say we will be living out of our many many boxes for a while yet 🙃

I’ll start sharing pictures again when we are able to get things decorated and in their proper places. Phase 2 will include furniture and linens, more lighting and eventually some gorgeous wallpaper. Thanks to everyone so much for your support and for following along!

*Before/After Antechamber off the Master bedroom*
We installed some shelves in this room situated between the master bedroom and bathroom. The closets in the home are not very large (as was common for the time) so we needed some more storage space for our clothes. I may also utilize it as a bit of a craft room. We’ll see!

*Before/after of a small upstairs room turned mini library*
This is a tiny room upstairs at the front of the house, it’s only feature being this rectangle window that looks out over the front yard. We aren’t sure what purposes it has served over the years as it’s not big enough to be a bedroom and pretty small even for a sitting room, but we decided to install some shelves and turn it into a mini-library. I’ve got my eyes peeled for a cozy loveseat in a fun print and some funky plants to finish it out. On it’s way to becoming my favorite hiding spot in the house!

*Progress/Current of the Attic Space turned Bonus Room*
The attic has a full stair case going up to it, but was completely unfinished and only used as a storage space when we bought the house. We insulated and dry walled the entire area, laid new wood floors, and installed a safety rail around the stair opening in the floor. This will become a perfect play & study area for our kids.

Last share for today will be this before/semi-current/current of the master bathroom. My personal favorite. We kept the vintage avocado cast iron tub and matching toilet (I am on the hunt for an avocado toilet seat to match if anyone knows a lead!) and this precious girl is sure to make any room sparkle✨

*Befores/Currents Other Bedrooms*
These are the other bedrooms in the house, where we continued to only really update colors and repair floors for the most part. The floor in the first room shown (the downstairs guest room with en suite) will be painted in a harlequin diamond pattern, just because I wanted to do it in at least one room of the house. Oh and we are updating all the ceiling fans, but are there any attractive ceiling fans in the universe?

*Before/Current Butler’s Pantry turned Wet Bar & .5 Bath*
This is the only area in the original house (so aside from the addition) that we added a wall. We decided to turn this little room off the dining room & original kitchen into a beverage/light prep area and add a wall to expand the existing tiny half bath into a slightly less tiny half bath 😅 with a door separating the toilet & sink, and a door between the bar area and the bathroom.

*Before/Current Formal Sitting Room*
Most rooms in the house just got a little lipstick put on. We wanted to keep the original layouts and fixtures, but change the wall colors, tone down the bright white trim, and get those floors shining again. This room in particular I wanted to do something dramatic & unexpected as it’s one of the first areas you see when you enter the house. I love the “paint drenched” look, and I can’t wait to add some overstuffed chairs and a good rug.

(The natural light wasn’t at its best when I took these pictures, but I’ll be fussier about photo quality when everything is actually finished)
