My father (Willie Taylor) started building cabinets in 1962, the year I was born. I grew up working in the cabinet shop, from the time I could barely look over the table saw I was pushing lumber through. The business has had ups and downs with the economy and changed drastically from the styles and types of cabinetry we build. The one thing that remains is the desire for quality craftsmanship. I d

on't think that this will ever go away. There is something about taking raw lumber and building something that can serve a purpose and bring joy to our lives and appreciation for what God gave us in resources and talent that just cant be replaced. It is with honor that I consider myself a craftsman. It was a profession good enough for Jesus and his earthly father.

2/5/25 Happy Heavenly Birthday Dad.
1975-2025, 50 years of business for Taylor's Custom Cabinets Inc. I have decided to retire from building custom cabinets and officially close Taylor's Custom Cabinets Inc.
I worked beside my dad for most of those years, then bought the business from him. Even though he hadn't worked in the shop for several years when he passed, I unexpectedly lost the desire to continue the shop. I thought maybe it would come back if I worked by myself but after 5 years it's still been a struggle.
I am pursuing another opportunity, but I do want to say thank you to our customers for all their trust in us.
I was blessed to have an earthly father teach me a carpentry trade that was good enough for our heavenly father as well.
