From a fun COVID hobby to a blossoming business. For those who do not know me, I am Sarah Winters—an artist, wife to Julian, momma to three adult sons, and a happily retired teacher.

Here is more about the heart behind the art. My love for nature inspires everything I create. My very first watercolor painting was a “Little Chickadee” (my dad’s sweet nickname for me). My latest collection holds an extra special place in my heart as a memorial to my parents. Using my mother’s old hymnals and my father’s stunning wildflower photographs for inspiration, I have been painting wildflowers on Psalms and Hymns from old bibles and retired hymnals.

This gorgeous bed frame got a complete custom PFH makeover this week for my client— and what a transformation it was! From heavy and dark to clean, bright, and elevated… this piece now feels completely refreshed while still keeping its beautiful timeless character and detailing accents!

There’s nothing better than preserving quality furniture and making it feel brand new again. Creating custom finishes that feel elevated yet timeless is always my goal at PFH, and this transformation turned out beautifully like a true AMERICAN BEAUTY! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

was one of those days that reminded me exactly why I do what I do…

As I looked around the bustling store, I kept thinking... this is something Amazon could NEVER replicate.

Amazon doesn't gift wrap/bag each gift with care. It doesn't create a warm, welcoming space where people can slow down and thoughtfully shop for Mother's Day 💞💐

People were shopping for their Mama’s, Nana’s, Mimi’s…. People were shopping alongside their mama’s.. Siblings were walking through the store together, laughing and sharing ideas for what mama would like best..

There was so much genuine kindness and good energy in every corner of the shop. That sense of community is something I never take for granted!

Days like this is the reason small businesses matter so much ❤️

…because it’s never just about the products on the shelves. It’s about the people, the stories, the memories being made, and the feeling you leave with long after you walk out the door.
