CLIENT CUSTOM— not for sale

✨ THE FINAL PIECE IS COMPLETE ✨

And with this one… my Client’s entire dining set is officially finished. 🤍

Over time, my client has trusted me with her dining table, all 6 chairs, new upholstery, her large buffet, and finally—the hutch. Seeing every piece back together in her home makes this reveal that much sweeter.

This hutch was more than a refinishing project. My client gave me the freedom to really reimagine it. I removed the outdated grids from the glass doors and completely removed the decorative accent from the top, simplifying the silhouette and giving this beautiful, solid piece a much more updated look—without taking away the character that made it special in the first place.

I finished everything in the same soft, timeless color as the rest of her dining collection and updated the hardware, including a custom gold/brass finish I created specifically to complement the existing brass details in her room—especially that gorgeous chandelier. ✨

I have to say… this entire set is some of my finer work. 🤍
Not because it was the easiest, but because of the amount of detail, patience and thought that went into making each individual piece feel like it belonged together.

And I’m especially thankful for my client! With limited refinishing space, completing a collection this large meant multiple trips—bringing pieces to me a little at a time as space allowed. She was incredibly patient throughout the entire process and trusted me every step of the way.

There is something pretty special about being handed furniture someone has lived with for years and hearing, “I trust you.” 🥹

From dark, dated and traditional → to light, timeless and completely refreshed.

✨ CLIENT REVEAL | A Very Special Second Chapter ✨

This reveal feels a little “extra” special!

Several years ago, I had the honor of refinishing a nursery set for my sweet clients as they prepared for their first baby.

And now… I’ve been trusted to do it again for baby #2. 🥹🤍

There’s something incredibly meaningful about a client coming back and trusting me with another nursery—another little room that will hold some of their family’s sweetest memories. To be even a small part of both chapters is something I don’t take lightly.

This time around, we had quite the transformation!

The bedroom pieces started with a very traditional reddish/cherry wood finish, but underneath it were ALL the details I love finding in older, quality furniture—beautiful carved sides, beaded trim, decorative drawer fronts and gorgeous original hardware.

Rather than taking away that character, we wanted to make it shine.

The dresser, tall chest, nightstand and crib were all brought together in this gorgeous “Shade Green”—and goodness, was this color made for these pieces!

That rich, muted green completely modernized the set while still honoring its traditional character, and paired with the refreshed antique-gold hardware… 😍✨

LOOK at those details now.

I think that’s one of my favorite things about refinishing furniture—you don’t always need to replace beautiful, quality pieces to create something that feels completely new. Sometimes they simply need a new vision.

To my sweet repeat clients, thank you for trusting me not once, but TWICE, to create pieces for such precious seasons of your family’s life. Being able to say PFH had a little hand in both nurseries is pretty darn special to me. 🤍

And now these pieces are ready for another chapter—and plenty of memories to come.
