Custom made cabinetry and furniture all hand crafted with attention to detail. Calimer Cabinetry is a small custom wood working shop in Spring Grove PA.

I (Kevin L Calimer) got started in wood working when I went to York county school of Technology and fell in love with building things with my hands. As I learned the trade at school I competed in competitions where I ended up with 1st in district, 1st in state and 6th in the nation in 2007. After I graduated I kept honing my skills at a custom shop where after several years I was the only one ther

e and running the shop! I figured if I can run a shop why not start my own?? Of course this is a major decision but I’ve always wanted my own shop. So obviously I am a one man show. When matching existing kitchen cabinetry, every detail is important for it to blend in. I searched everywhere and was able to find a very similar k**b to the original. (Left k**b is original, right k**b is new)

Another small job of adding pull trays to an entertainment center. These cabinets were built years ago and the existing pull trays were designed to hold CDs. Customer needed different storage and for the pull tray to not hit the existing hinges! (See last picture of the before.) New shallow pull trays were installed and everything clears!

Customer had some melamine and particle board doors that were literally falling apart. (See last 2 pictures) So I created new cherry doors with a dark stain to accent the existing vanity. Customer was very happy and that's the most important part.

I've kept a low profile this year as I needed surgery on my hand and couldn't take on anymore work. Got the jobs all caught up, got the surgery, and now ready to start showing some small jobs I'm working on. I've learned your personal health needs to come before anything else.

Here are the red oak cabinets from a few weeks back. They are ready for the small kitchen remodel. The homeowner has an existing hoosier cabinet and the new cabinets are built to look similar but have modern functions. The beauty of custom is it can be built in any size, shape or design you want!

Almost forgot to post these beautiful built-ins I finished up a few weeks ago! Lots of extra storage and display area were created by building this! This was an odd corner of a room that didn't really have a good purpose before. Now it looks like it was always meant to be there with custom cabinetry.

Here is the custom oak cabinetry installed and ready for the electrician to wire up the components. The cabinets were stained a similar color to accent the existing oak mantle. The beauty of custom is it looks like these were always meant to be there, not an afterthought! You won't find solid wood shelves and mitered face frames at any box store.
