Doyles Ice Cream Parlor has been a landmark in Spokane's West Cental neighborhood since 1939. When the Natatorium Park was operating, Boone street had trolley tracks going down to "Old Nat Park" which is now San Souci Mobile Home Park. One of the traditons for many people was to stop at Doyles to get ice cream, get on the trolley, and take their treat down to
the park to enjoy. Doyles has been making their own ice cream since 1939, and is Spokane's last working vintage soda fountain. When you enter Doyles Ice Cream Parlor, you are instantly taken back in time, with the original working soda fountain fixtures, the oldies music playing ( no 50's jukebox yet!) and the endless collection of ice cream memorabilia, not to mention the fabulous vintage toy display. We have all the old time favorites like huge Banana Splits, Sundae's, Black and White, Awful-Awful ( vertical banana split) old fashioned shakes, soda's and float's. Remember the old time fountain drinks? All of our drinks are made from scratch ( syrup and cabonated water from the antique gooseneck) How about Pink Indian's, Green River's, Graveyard's, Zombie's, Real Coke made from scratch. Chocolate Coke, Cherry Coke, and any flavor or combinations you can come up with using our syrups. And of course the Phosphates....do you remember those? Whether it's your first time here, or your a regular, come belly up to the bar and sit on one of the original stool as you try to decide which flavor....
Perhaps you'd like to enjoy your ice cream, out in our ice cream garden. Doyles Ice Cream is truly one of Spokane's best kept secrets!
