Midwest Woodworks is looking for a full-time dependable cabinet maker. Must have strong woodworking skills and an eye for detail. Ability to use building and mathematical skills to create cabinets that meet very specific guidelines. Hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday. Thank you Kiley Miller, Amanda Mack and Steve Pick for stopping by and visiting our new shop! We are so thankful for having the support of Spencer Area Jobs Trust and the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corp.

Jeff and Melissa Bendlin welcomed Spencer City Administrator Amanda Mack and Spencer Municipal Utilities General Manager Steve Pick to the new home of Midwest Woodworks earlier this week. Previously operated from a small shop at the Bendlins' home, Midwest Woodworks now occupies a spacious building on Milwaukee Street. The Bendlins make high-end custom cabinetry for residential customers and are moving into the commercial market.

Mack and Pick visited Midwest Woodworks on behalf of Spencer Area Jobs Trust, a development organization that supports growing businesses in Clay County. The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation administers Jobs Trust in its role as a regional economic development leader.
