Finished out the week with this. Customer wanted a distressed looking waxed canvas top for his model a sedan. I’ve never done one of these and the waxed canvas is tough stuff.
Turned out good, just hope it doesn’t fly off going down the road😬😬

Helfire Upholstery is back up and running today!!

June 22, 2024 “The Spencer Flood” hit. After 6 long weeks of filthy, disgusting cleaning, tearing walls out, remodeling and painting, today is the official re-open day for me.

I’m still getting my inventory back up to s***f but I’m at the point I can make it work.

Thank you to everyone that’s been so patient and understanding with your projects. It means the world to me.

A perfect example of why to choose upholstery over buying new. Al had these chairs given to him from his mom. The chairs were in excellent shape but his taste is totally different from what his mom had. He chose a bit of MCM with a nice pop of color on the back. I loved these colors together!

Waves, stripes and geometric patterns! It’s been a week of new stuff at Helfire!! Window cornices that came in bare wood. I’ve not done much pattern matching yet and this wave fabric made me scratch my head a few times to get the seams right so they aren’t glaringly obvious! Learning every single day!!

Connie brought in these family pieces that had been around for years but needed some love. She didn’t want the wood refinished because there were marks on the pieces that held many memories.

I tore everything down to the framework and built it back up.

I did a light sand with 120 grit, used some restore a finish then finished with bees wax.

The bold print she picked is absolutely beautiful!

When you have the furniture that warrants it, bold fabric like this is absolutely stunning! Thanks for the opportunity Connie!!
