We’ve been focusing on some of our newest arrivals over the past few days, but there is so much more in the shop right now — so today we’re sharing a little bit of everything!

New art, furniture, home décor, lighting, gifts and plenty of one-of-a-kind finds are filling the shop.

One of the things we love most about Coastal Cottage is the incredible variety you’ll find under one roof. We’re now accepting pre-orders for the 2026 Oakie! These limited edition, hand-crafted, hand-painted Oak Island snowmen are created by master craftsmen Ken Goff and his wife Annie. Each Oakie is signed, numbered, and dated—making them a true collector’s item.

This is the tenth and final year Ken and Annie have created these exclusive pieces for the Coastal Cottage, and while the 2026 design is still a secret, it’s guaranteed to be spectacular.

With only 100 Oakies available, they sell out fast! The first batch of 2026 Oakies is expected to arrive in early October, so don’t wait!

Today, we pause to remember those we lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders who ran toward danger when others were running away.

The Southport Fire Department’s memorial is a powerful reminder that even here in our small coastal community, we remain connected to that day and to the sacrifice, service, and unity it represents.

We remember the lives lost. We honor the heroes. And we remember how, in the days that followed, neighbors helped neighbors and communities came together as Americans.

May we continue to carry that spirit forward—supporting one another, appreciating those who serve our community, and never taking for granted the freedoms and people that make this country home.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸
