Today, we’re giving a special shoutout to our trash collectors, recyclers, and sorters/operators who perform the essential job of keeping our communities clean! Without your hard work and commitment, we wouldn’t have the robust recycling systems we have today.

It’s National Organic Harvest Month! September is all about the fruits and veggies of late summer – corn, pumpkins, apples, and more. Don’t forget – Wixom and Farmington residents can put their food scraps in with their weekly yard waste set-out – just add it to your leaves and trimmings and it’ll be composted all the same!

However, our Multifamily Recycling page will show you that there are still resources available to you! These include HHW Collection Events, the Novi & Southfield Drop-Off Sites, and more!

Thrift stores often have backpacks, pencils, outfits, and more to get your child ready for the school season without having to buy brand-new – not to mention you’re keeping reusable items out of the landfill!
