Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the firehouse,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
Their turn-outs were placed by the engine with care,
With hopes of a quiet night; that they wouldn't be needed anywhere.
The firefighters were racked out snug in their beds,
While visions of family time danced in their heads.
When all through the station arose such a clatter,
An alarm! The dispatcher started stating what was the matter.
To a car accident, a heart attack, a fire they flew,
To do the job they loved and the job that they knew.
We will always be here to answer the call.

To serve and protect; to save one and all.

For all firefighters, police, medics, dispatchers, doctors, nurses, and troops. To all those on duty tonight and tomorrow; stay safe, Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
