This couch table set is now living happily in its forever home! The C table is presently located in the middle of the couch, but it can be used as a side table or even swung over the armrest. I fit the armrest trays to be snug enough to be secure, yet loose enough to easily change how far forward they sit on the armrest. They can also be moved to different furniture pieces of a matching living room set. This residence has two couches and two big chairs, so the C table and armrest trays fit all of them. It's a neat way to add a little table space without needing to add a table!

This week I wrapped up a commission set of two armrest trays and a matching couch table (aka "c table"). All pieces are made from red oak that was stained, finished with Odies Oil, and all have waterfall edges so the wood grain flows seamlessly from one surface to the next. I used black walnut bowties on the C table to maintain stability across a crack. The crack and other small voids were filled with black tinted epoxy. It has interesting figure and a good amount of "ray fleck" on either side where the wood is quarter sawn.

The armrest trays have a 1/4" recessed center area to prevent things from sliding off the edge. I added black walnut splines to the armrest trays to increase joint strength, but it also makes them match the C table.

I think this is a neat set! I hadn't seen armrest trays before this request, and honestly, I think they would be really handy to add a spot to set a beverage, snack, or phone without adding a larger piece of furniture like a side table.

Here is a couch table commission I recently completed. It is stained red oak with black walnut bowties. I used black epoxy to fill voids and cracks, and finished with Odies Oil. The pieces are from one slab and constructed with a "waterfall" edge, where the wood grain continues to flow from the top down the side.

Unloading logs with the winch (x2 speed). Sure is nice to have! I used to tie logs off to a tree and drive away to yank them out of the trailer; this is a better way đŸ˜†

I'm trying this bad boy out today! It's a 6,000 pound ATV winch mounted to the front of my trailer. I needed a way to get logs loaded when heavy equipment isn't available. In the past I've had to walk away from big logs offered to me by landowners because I couldnt move them. Fingers crossed this works!
