Here's a handy tip for removing an old finish with stripper: Generously apply Citristrip, cover with plastic wrap then walk away for several hours, or overnight. Once you come back to the piece, remove the plastic wrap & easily scrape off the old finish with a putty knife or your choice of scraper. However, moisture is not a friend of veneer!!!! If you're working with veneer keep a close watchful eye. Too much moisture and your going to get bubbling veneer.

I can't take full credit for this one. Jacob did most of the work himself. This is his project. All the cleaning, sanding, prep and staining the top! Black, lightly distressed, satin top coat, walnut stain top. Solid, well-built piece, all wood. About 4 1/2 ft tall, nearly 4 ft wide and about 18 inches deep. Measurements are approximate. Available for $165. Open to negotiations. Pick up only near Alum Creek or South Charleston.

Antique vanity/desk: stripped & sealed with 3 coats matte finish top coat. Accentuated with dark wax. Drawer fronts painted. Added clay appliques that are hand sculpted as well as pressed in mold, then baked. Drawers cleaned up and lined. Before pics included in album. Available for $275.
