Closing One Shop Door… and Opening a Bigger One!

Well, things change! I’ve downsized from my home to an apartment, which presented one tiny problem… my furniture refinishing shop apparently didn’t get the downsizing memo. 😂

This empty space is my old home shop, and it’s a little bittersweet seeing it like this. So many pieces came through these doors—some beautiful, some needing a little love, and some that definitely made me question my life choices halfway through. 😂 There were countless hours of sanding, painting, staining, spraying, creating…and probably enough sawdust to fill another garage.

It was a great run, and this little shop helped turn a love of bringing old furniture back to life into Enriched Heirlooms by Lynn. ❤️

But now it’s time for the next chapter!

I’m moving the shop to a BIGGER space in Dell Rapids—and as an added bonus, I’ll be much closer to The Local, making it even easier to keep them stocked with beautiful, one-of-a-kind furniture.

So goodbye, old shop. ❤️ You were very good to me.

Next stop: Dell Rapids!

This timeless piece has been thoughtfully refinished while preserving the warmth and character of its original wood.

• Painted in Fusion™ Mineral Paint – Oakham, a sophisticated warm neutral that complements both traditional and modern homes.
• The top, doors, and lower drawer were sanded back to bare wood, allowing the beautiful natural grain to shine before being refinished with stain.
• Original hardware has been carefully refreshed in a stunning champagne bronze finish.
• Sealed throughout with General Finishes High Performance Polyurethane in a satin finish for exceptional durability and everyday protection.

🚨 Cabinet Rescue Mission: SUCCESS! 🚨

When my client first sent these cabinets my way, I think they had already survived about 60 years… and looked like they had won every battle. 😅

Rotten bottoms? ✔️
Water damage? ✔️
Missing pieces? ✔️
A few moments where I questioned my own sanity? Also ✔️😂

But underneath all that was something worth saving.

These cabinets were purchased by my client’s grandmother in the early 1960s, and now they’ll continue their story in my client’s own sewing room. ❤️ That’s the part I love most about what I do—preserving memories while giving them a whole new life.

✨ Finished in Fusion Mineral Paint – Ash, a beautifully versatile gray that offers both softness and depth without ever feeling flat.

✨ The solid maple doors were stripped and stained a rich brown to let that gorgeous grain take center stage.

I posted this beauty with a simple “Coming Soon,” dropped it (along with these two other refinished pieces) off at The Local in Dell Rapids… and they all sold before they were even unwrapped!

I guess “coming soon” turned into “gone already.” 😂

This beautiful dresser was transformed using Fusion’s Alchemy line in Sunset—a vibrant coral reminiscent of a Caribbean horizon at dusk, capturing the warmth, energy, and beauty of a tropical sunset. This joyful hue brings personality and charm to any space, making it the perfect choice for a client who wanted something truly unique and whimsical.

Fusion’s Alchemy line combines three key ingredients—acrylic, limestone, and chalk—to create exceptional depth, rich pigmentation, and a velvety smooth finish. The result is a color that is bold, vibrant, and full of life.

To balance the playful coral, the top and base were carefully sanded to raw wood and finished with a light oak stain and finishing oil, allowing the natural beauty of the wood grain to shine through.
