Another rehab in Railroad is coming to a close. A few more days of punch list items and then on to other things. A special thanks to Jacob Silliman of York Media Design for the pictures.

The dreaded “Metaeam” has informed me that I have been suspended from posting. Should I click the link? Perhaps if the scammers spelled correctly they would have greater success.

The only picture I took at our open house in Railroad yesterday. Thank you for going above and beyond. You turned a simple home walkthrough into a community event. I admire and appreciate your service and dedication to the community.

and I were watching the transformation video that put together for our community open house on Saturday and Aaron repeated said, “What were we thinking?” while we watched. I’m not so sure what exactly we were thinking. People call it a “Flip” but 10 months later and a few weeks of work left to do… I think there needs to be another term.

Come celebrate with us and see the transformation of the ugliest house in Railroad. Come for the tour. Come for the stories. Come for the food and drinks. Come for your curiosity. Regardless why you come, I’ll see you Saturday.

We would like to invite you to our open house on Saturday, June 10 at 18 East Main St. in Railroad, PA. The house is just up the hill from Captain Bob’s Crabs and The Jackson House. Street parking is limited so please utilize the public parking across from The Jackson House. The open house is from 2:00-5:00 with a cookout, courtesy of Without A Hook, from 3:00-5:00. This project became a bit of a community event so we thought we should invite you, our community, to walk through what was once The Ugliest House in Railroad. So if you are an interested buyer (coming to market in a few weeks) or you just want to walk through to see where the old and new intersect, we look forward to seeing you.

If you are going to go ALL IN just go for it! Nothing says “Railroad, PA” more than these stained glass transom windows. Thank you Amy Jobe Tinker for taking on this project! I am more than thrilled with how they turned out.

These before and after photos never get old. The ugliest house in Railroad isn’t so ugly anymore. I can almost see the finish line on this one.

Mark your calendar and come see how the ugliest house in Railroad has been preserved and transformed. Details will be posted soon. This is a pre-listing open house so there is still some work to be completed but we wanted to let you come see the house before it is too late.

At some point in time, many years ago, someone cut a window into one of the porch entry doors. This well intentioned act was poorly done and essentially ruined the 1880 door. I finally got around to repairing and restoring the door. Some dark red paint to match the column accents and now they are both looking like they did when the house was built. It’s a small thing but we are one day closer to completion.

It’s been a long week of sanding and prep but six gallons of polyurethane later and the floors are done. Now to sit outside and sober up while the poly cures over the weekend.
