Dave Owen was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois, and is a proud graduate of Joliet Catholic High School. He now lives in Plainfield and brings decades of experience to his role in sales and design at Brakur Custom Cabinetry, where he helps clients transform their homes with custom cabinetry solutions that are both beautiful and functional.
Before joining Brakur, Dave owned and operated his own custom cabinet company, gaining hands-on experience in craftsmanship, design, and business operations. After navigating the challenges of the 2008 economic downturn, he continued his career with a renewed focus on quality work, creative solutions, and strong client relationships.
Dave also has a strong creative background in photography, which he studied at Joliet Junior College. He previously worked as a newborn photographer and now specializes in photographing home interiors—a skill that aligns naturally with his eye for design and attention to detail in cabinetry. His photography enhances his ability to understand spatial layout, lighting, and aesthetic balance, further enriching the value he brings to each project.
Outside of work, Dave enjoys golf, attending air shows, and is a lifelong fan of both the Chicago White Sox and The Beatles. Whether behind a camera, at a ball game, or working with a client, Dave brings the same passion, precision, and professionalism to everything he does.
