🚜 BACK AT THE HOMESTEAD! 🌾

Another day back at the homestead getting after it! Didn't get any pictures of the work today, but I did manage to make some new friends. 😂🐑

The SHEEEEEEP finally let me hand-feed them! Took me pretty much ALL DAY throwing brush into their pen to earn their trust, but hey, we're making progress! 🤣

Sometimes it's not all about the work getting done. Sometimes it's about slowing down, enjoying the little things, and earning the trust of a few stubborn sheep along the way. 🐑💪

We'll be back at it again soon, continuing to reclaim overgrown areas, clear fence lines, and get this homestead looking right!

💪 MAKING THE MOST OF WHAT YOU’VE GOT! 🔨

Unforeseen circumstances left me with an unexpected free day today, and with this beautiful weather, I wasn’t about to let it go to waste! ☀️

Between life, family, and running a business, I’m still chipping away at getting a place built to store and protect my equipment through the winter.

Other than the nine 4x6 posts, every piece of wood being used is reclaimed and repurposed. ♻️ Making use of what I have instead of spending money on everything new.

Now, let me be the first to tell you… I AM NOT A CARPENTER! 😂 Most of the time, all I have to go off of is an image in my head and the determination to figure out how to make it happen.

Is it perfect? Absolutely not.
Are the sheds perfectly squared up? Nope.
Do they have the same height or roof pitch? Not even close! 🤣

But you know what? IT'S GOING TO WORK, AND IT'S GOING TO BE BUILT TO LAST!

Sometimes, you just have to roll up your sleeves, use what you have, learn as you go, and make it happen. Everything doesn't have to be perfect to serve its purpose.

That's the same mindset I bring to life and to KB Maintenance. You work with what you've got, make the best of every opportunity, and keep moving forward.

💪 SOME DAYS TEST YOU. SOME DAYS REMIND YOU WHY YOU STARTED. 🇺🇸

I'm not going to sugarcoat it. The last couple of weeks have been rough.

Down a truck. Trying to keep this business running strong, figuring out the next move, and doing everything I can to keep customers and eveyone else happy, even when it means putting myself and my own needs on the back burner.

I'll be the first to admit, I woke up this morning feeling a little discouraged. Sometimes the weight of trying to keep everything moving forward gets heavy. Being a business owner/friend/husband/father isn't always about the wins, the money, or the finished projects. Sometimes it's about fighting through the days when everything seems to be working against you.

But then a simple text comes through and reminds you EXACTLY why you started in the first place.

It's about the people who see the hard work. The ones who appreciate your time, your effort, your honesty, and the pride you put into what you do. Those are the people who make every long day, every setback, and every sacrifice worth it.

I'm building more than a business here. I'm building a future for my family, something my boys can be proud of, and a name that stands for hard work, quality, and doing things the right way.

Will there be setbacks? Absolutely.
