** Long but very informative post**
First I just wanted to Thank all the family , friends and customers who shared our post about air duct cleaning ! We have been overwhelmed with calls, text and FB messages about people interested in having this service done. I apologize I have not had the time to respond to each one of you individually ! Over half of you guys have the same questions so I will post on this page answers and information about this service.
**Question one . Who needs to have their air ducts cleaned ?
Simple Answer… everyone ! It doesn’t matter if your home is 4 days old or 40 years old ( actually we clean just as many new construction homes as we do older homes ) no matter how careful your builder is , dust and dirt on a new construction or a remodel will find its way into your system !
**Question two. How often should I have my air ducts cleaned ?
Air ducts are passageways that transport cooled and heated air throughout your house. Just like any other HVAC system , air ducts require regular maintenance to ensure maximum efficiency . As a general rule of thumb we recommend you have your system cleaned every 3-5 years.
**Question three. What are some signs I need my air ducts cleaned ?
1. Allergy Symptoms
2. Strange Smells
3. Poor Indoor Air Quality can cause trouble breathing and sleeping
4. Visible mold growth
5. Unusual rise in energy bills
6. Heavy signs of dust.
**Question four. What happens if I don’t clean my air ducts ?
You are allowing dust and debris to accumulate in your air ducts which will decrease the amount of airflow in your home because your furnace and air conditioner are unable to function properly. This could lead to your furnace or air conditioning unit malfunctioning or heavily increasing the cost of your electric bill
**Question five. Will cleaning my air ducts make my house less dusty ?
Absolutely , air duct cleaning reduces the dust in your ducts , which reduces some of the dust that blows into your home. Most lightweight debris becomes affixed to your vent walls , but some may come loose and blow into your home. Allowing dust to build up over time will increase the amount that comes out the vents.
Above is the top 5 questions that were ask almost 30 times in the last few days. I hope this info is helpful.
