After that it was purchased by Merle Koutz Sr., who had several business in this location including an arcade. Later the sight had several other owners that occupied Angels Pizza and Joeys Pizza. Will and Staci Bailey purchased the building in 2016 to keep Shepherd thriving. Their choice to make it a rental was to help keep resources local. The Bailey's are both implants who graduated from Clare High School, but consider Shepherd home. They both look forward to helping make your event a success. Our mission in opening is to be a part of helping Shepherd thrive. Hence the reason you will find our local resources here in this brochure and on our website. We believe it takes a village to be successful so why not do it in the sweetest little town around. We are located only a few blocks off of US27 in the heart of Shepherd. Easy on and off the expressway as well getting into and out of town, easy parallel street parking, and Handicap curb parking. The Eight 2 Eight Rental hall is a 4100 square foot building that was built back in the 1950’s as a movie theatre. The hall offers an open floor plan with dimming lights to set the tone. We also have a warming kitchen, walk in cooler, drink service bar, a 16’ counter along one wall with outlets, a white wall for slide shows, presentations, or other displays. There is a back hall to help caterers access the kitchen without disrupting your event and a barn door off the main room to bring out food with ease. To help accommodate seating we offer 60” round white tables as well as 72” rectangle white tables and white folding chairs as well as a few 8’ buffet tables for extra food placement. WE ARE THE PLACE FAMILY AND FRIENDS GATHER.
