Ryan Cocina Furniture Maker

Ryan Cocina Furniture Maker Vermont Furniture Maker Growing up around my grandfather’s wood shop I gained a great respect for woodwork. in History.

From the smell of the sawdust to the polished look and feel, wood personally struck a cord with me. I graduated from the State University of New York at Geneseo in 2007 with a B.A. After leaving college I decided to pursue my dream of making furniture and custom woodwork, and see if I could make it a reality. I moved to Vermont and attended the Vermont Woodworking School. There I became Master De

signer Craftsman Robert Fletcher’s personal apprentice, producing his furniture designs as well as my own. I have been producing furniture professionally since. In my Vermont shop, I create one of a kind hand crafted pieces. Each piece is individually tailored to fit the expectations of my customers. All pieces are constructed with strict attention to every detail, using time tested and proven techniques of joinery and finish. I use sustainably harvested hardwoods from North American forests. Each piece of hard wood used is carefully hand chosen and selected for each project. From the rough milled boards to the polished final product, my furniture is designed and constructed to become future antiques and be passed down and enjoyed by future generations to come.
