Curious about what happens to old textile, felt, and laminate samples in our Shelburne showroom once they're discontinued?

Exterus knows reducing waste and keeping material out of the landfill is crucial at every scale. We reach out to partner with local art class studios, university art and design programs, and community members to donate old textile and finish samples to elongate the lifecycle of every scrap!

Case Study: Town of St. Albans

The St. Albans Town Hall recently made the move from its original historic building into its newly constructed offices, designed to better serve its visitors and staff. Exterus was selected to furnish the new 5,100-square-foot municipal building, including outfitting private and shared offices and meeting spaces, dining area, entryway, and town hall meeting room, to create a cohesive, functional and efficient hub for town operations for decades to come.

Working closely with the Town Manager, Exterus helped develop a furniture solution by blending products from several manufacturers to meet both the functional goals of the space and the town’s approved budget. Exterus also collaborated with a local St. Albans woodworker to create custom benches for the building’s entryway, bringing a local touch to the space.

Case Study: Mach7 Technologies

When Mach7 Technologies, a global leader in healthcare imaging solutions, set out to transform their South Burlington headquarters, their goal was to create a space that reflects their forward-thinking culture and supports flexibility, focus, and collaboration.

Exterus partnered with Mach7 to reimagine the office from the ground up, replacing outdated furniture with Teknion Leverage workstations, architectural glass walls, expanded conference spaces, and thoughtfully designed collaboration and IT areas. From a 26-person conference room with seamless wire management to acoustical solutions that balance openness and privacy, every detail was designed to support how Mach7 works.
