Coffee Table Top (only) Upgrade.

This client asked that I sand and refinish the top of a well loved coffee table to match the existing finish. See below for how it turned out.

Sometimes furniture does not have to be completely overhauled. For a smaller investment you still feel as though you have a new piece. I loved how this turned out!

Tables refreshed.

Two pottery barn tables in need of a refresh. See before and after pictures below.

Tables sanded to bare wood, wood conditioned, layered staining for a more natural finish. Finished with three coats of poly for added protection.

Updating solid/ well made furniture is a great way to update your decor with a one of a kind pieces.

A client project. Veneer sofa table refinished in a natural finish. A piece removed from storage in need of a refresh. Well made, sturdy and heavy… a great decision to redo vs replace! Finish removed, wood conditioner applied and two coats of a varnish plus two additional coats of varnish on top for extra protection. Hand sanded between coats with 400 and 600 grit sand paper for a very smooth finish. I only wish I had better pictures.

Harden Table Top

Just a quick up close before and after picture of a client project.

Despite taking steps to keep the table top from chipping the table continued to show signs of wear (see left photo).

After sanding the finish, conditioning the wood, applying a light stain and finishing with three coats of an oil based varnish… I am confident the finish will look new for years to come (see right photo).

A Client Dresser Upgrade

This black dresser was in need of a makeover. It was in great shape with dovetailed drawers and very sturdy. The finish was a bit banged up because of a recent move. Moulthrop Original School Desk
Wood and metal antique school desk made over. Desk has a drawer for storage. The desk can move back and forth but does not move up and down.

I scored these two funny little side tables at an auction. I like bamboo. It’s organic and can bring a bit of the outdoors into your space.
