Still can't get over this cabinet build. For only our second time ever building cabinets, we are beyond happy with how it turned out.

That being said we are still not cabinet makers. We've always just loved being makers in general - figuring things out, building with our hands, and pushing ourselves into projects we haven't done before.

As proud as we are of this one, we are definitely looking forward to getting back into more hardwood projects and less plywood for a little while. But every project teaches us something new, and this one taught us a lot. Stay tuned for what's in store, we appreciate everyone following along and supporting what we do.

Much Love,
The Speiser's❤️

Happy Mother’s Day!

After nearly a full year of living in what can only be described as a “mostly functioning construction zone,” we’re proud to announce… the kitchen is finally about 90% finished.

And honestly? We’d like everyone to believe this was all strategically planned just in time for Mother’s Day build, but sadly it was just good timing. Definitely not because we got sidetracked building everything else under the sun.

But hey — the cabinets are in, the counters are usable, there’s finally a real kitchen again, and Mom no longer has to survive off of cabinets with no doors, or drawers or functionality…

Still a few shelves and crown molding left… but we’re calling that “character development.”

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there — especially the one that’s been patient enough to live through a year-long home finishing dream along my side. ❤️

Much love,
All of us here at TOSC

It’s been a long week—but this is what getting back in the shop looks like!!

Two return clients trusted us again…
One with 16’ faux distressed beams that are going to completely change a space,
and another bringing us back for more countertops.

At the same time, we finally turned a corner on our own home—
kitchen cabinets sprayed and ready for doors to finally be installed! I think it’s safe to say Katie has waited for this day

And just as these wrap up…
a full custom bar build is waiting next.

This is the part people don’t see—
when everything stacks at once, and you either level up… or fall behind

Much love,
The Speiser’s

Table Talk: What actually goes into building a custom table?

It’s more than just cutting wood and putting it together.

Here’s the quick breakdown of what happens before it ever hits your home:

• Lumber selection — choosing the right boards for grain, color, and stability
• Milling — flattening, jointing, and prepping everything to be square and true
• Glue-up — paneling the top correctly so it stays flat over time
• Joinery — building a base that’s actually strong, not just good looking
• Sanding & prep — dialing everything in before finish ever touches it
• Finishing — protecting the piece while bringing out the natural character of the wood

Every step matters. Skip one, rush one, or do it wrong… and you’ll see it later.

That’s the difference between something that looks good for a year…
and something that lasts for decades.

“Why is a custom table $3k–$7k… when I’ve seen one for $2k?”

Fair question.

But the truth is—they’re not the same product.

Most $2k tables are mass-produced with lower-grade materials, built to look good short-term.

What we build is solid hardwood, properly milled, with joinery and finishes meant to last for years—not just a season.

And every piece is built specifically for your home and your space.

We’re not the cheapest option—and we’re not trying to be.

If you’re price shopping, we’re probably not your guy—and that’s okay.

But if you want something built right, built to last, and built for you—that’s where we come in.

Much love,
Logan and Tanner
