4/4 ,5/4,6/4,8/4 hard maple bark pocket or bark inclusion. Loads of curl in it as well. Natural color. Very nice stock.

Burl pieces I use for small things on small projects. They clean up nice and are very nice looking . Ash and hard maple Burl.

I made these years back to show customers what different dye colors were available. I found out offering too many choices lead to delays. But it is nice to see how they look on the same piece. Neither of these sample boards had heavy figure. But you can see how the dye really pops it. We have some dye available at the shop and you can go online to W D Lockwood to order. Wonderful folks, small family run businesses that has been around over 125 years. Maybe someday we will be as well.

Hard maple burl. I have had this sitting in my shop for a couple years drying on the floor. I have a heated floor in the shop. I cut these to use as handle or k**b pieces on smaller projects. The color and grain are nice. We do have a few at the shop if you are interested. They are not dry yet, but they are hard maple. No two are ever alike.

How to spot birdseye in a board. The sides of a tree with birdseye is easy. But the end grain really shows the “eyes”.

Bark pocket hard maple. Lots of this has curl and figure in it. 4/4 , 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4. Makes great furniture with a look unlike anything else. Goes from light figure to very heavy figure. Unlike spalted maple, you don’t have any soft spots or mushy spots. You don’t have to use any dyes or stains to color it. The wood color ranges from bright white to the heartwood which can be reddish or brown.

16/4 walnut. Kiln dried. Great stock for mantles or table bases, bed posts wood turnings, etc.

5/4 and 6/4 live edge walnut , kiln dried wider stock. 8 and 10 ft lengths. A couple thousand feet available. Great for charcuterie boards, cutting boards, cheese boards, noodle boards, all sorts of projects.

Some stickering of some very wide 6-4 and 8/4 curly and birdseye maple. It gets harder to find stock eider the 10” especially in Birdseye. Very fortunate to get some great mat from our mills. Veneer log sales are always hit and miss. These are exceptional.
