This is the gentleman who is making the plane for me. He is an incredible craftsman and a truly good man. He makes everything himself on this plane except for 2 screws. He does the casting, machining and woodwork. Incredible talent

Unsteamed walnut can have incredible colors in it.

4/4 ,6/4 and 8/4 ambrosia maple. Sap 1 face or better. The ambrosia streaks show the best in the sap face. The color blends in with heartwood otherwise and it is not as dramatic. More to go through this week.
