It is time to finish this project. Our 12 month rest period has turned into 36 months with not much work going on to see phase 3 done. Matt and the gang down at B2 have done a few things like adult kickball and Oktoberfest game of skate, but it is time to rally the troops and really hit the streets to finish this. Sunday December 10th marked the 4th anniversary of the ribbon cutting of Phase 1 of Schurman-Grubb Memorial skatepark. Phase 1 took over 3 years to fund and design after the death of Zach and Todd. Phase 2 was a quarter of the size of phase one and was knocked out in the next 14 months. Phase 3 has been dragging on for close to 3 years now. I chose to take a break and reenergize, but never intended it to be this long. In 2017 I with the help of one volunteer and some park department staff did the Kickball for Grown-ups league and raised almost $1000. We have done the Game of S.K.A.T.E since the park opened and raised a little with it. I have been asking connections about getting donations from both corporations and individuals as well. Here we are 4 years later and it isn’t a finished project. My goal for 2018 is to fund this project. That funding can come from lots of places and I can’t do it alone. Look for a meeting in January to reestablish a group of concerned citizens to finish this. Much love to all that have helped get it to where it is at. Greater appreciation to those that step forward and help see it to the end.

A big shout out to Isaiah Gambrel for helping me pack up and load my truck to come home tonight!!! Thank you so much!!! Also thanks to all that came up to check on me, give me bathroom breaks, and made sure I had food. It was greatly appreciated!!! I also appreciate all who stopped by to support the skatepark! We couldn't build it without all your support!!!
