Hi from the Spring Creek Woodcrafters crew!!! It’s been a while, but we’ve got some exciting announcements to make (and just in time for the holiday season… 👀) and we’re pretty sure you’ll be jumping for joy! You’re going to want to read this:

After a very busy few years and collaborating with many wonderful, creative customers, we’ve happily made the choice at Spring Creek Woodcrafters to refocus our production primarily on custom orders, especially custom tables. We’re so grateful that your interest and enthusiasm about the things we create has lead us to this point, and we’re so excited to become your go-to custom furniture maker! Now if you’re panicking saying, “But wait… Katherine, Wes, what about trays and Lazy Susan’s?! They’re my favorite gift to give! That’s right, it will be back soon! Here’s a fun start to the week! Remember that BIG we delivered to Texas that took many, many hands to bring up a couple flights of stairs into our client’s new-build home? Well the home is finished and our dear client sent us a photo of the table in its new, finished home (along with some VERY kind words!) We absolutely love it!!

It’s almost time for our 2nd show of the summer—show of hands, who’s gearing up to head out to the Artsweek Golden Festival this weekend?! ✋🏻

This lovely table is part of our newest available pieces; it may not be at the show with us physically, because we can’t always bring along every table we have due to how big they are, BUT… if you’re interested in it, you’ll be able to contact us and order it by utilizing our “Table Book” that we just introduced this season! Hey there, friends! Long time no see—we’ve been working hard behind the scenes lately and are happy to announce some fun updates about Spring Creek Woodcrafters for 2023!

••We’ll get the “bad” news out of the way first—after being on hiatus for a while, we’ve officially decided to shut down our Etsy store. We know this will be sad news for some of you that loved perusing our work online, but the upside is that we made this choice because of how successful our in-person shows and custom work has been. If you want to know what we’ve got in stock or to place a custom order, you can still ALWAYS reach out to us directly through our website!

••Our list of shows for 2023 is coming soon! Keep an eye out for the post announcing them—there are a lot of really exciting ones this year so you won’t want to miss it!

••We’ve been working hard on making updates to our website to reflect more of our current work. There are a couple spots left to finesse, but you can officially go check out the changes we’ve made by following the website link in our bio! Go exploring 🏔️

••Our goal is to continue to grow, shift, and improve our craft every year, and we’ve begun fine tuning some really cool designs, inlay materials, and finishes. Keen eyes can spot a few of these things on our website 😉 but you can also keep an eye here on Instagram to see some of the cool new things we’re making!

THANK YOU to all of you that support our business. We couldn’t do this without you, and we’re very excited about what all 2023 has in store for us as we move into “show season” 🤩

Whoops, our Instagram post didn’t share over here on Facebook 😬 sorry to all you Facebookers that have been waiting on an answer!

It’s time for the grand reveal!! You all had such great guesses—a couple of you were close, and one of you got it almost word-for-word (good work, Sue!!) This reclaimed oak table was formerly decking from a semi tractor trailer!! We were surprised by the transformation too; as you can see, it’s pretty unrecognizable before vs. after! The decking came in 12”W x 10’L panels that we sanded, laminated together with biscuits and glue, and reinforced with steel cross bars underneath. We filled the bolt holes with black epoxy, did (more) sanding, made a frame from the same wood, filled more holes and cracks with resin, and—you guessed it—sanded even more! 😂 To complete the magic, we finished it all off with a hard wax finish from . Who knew that old decking could find a new life as a beautiful 5-1/2’L x 38”W table?!

Here’s a fun dining room table we created recently out of reclaimed wood, settled all cozy into its new home. This piece is particularly special because it was commissioned by our youngest son’s partner, Kevin! We had such a wonderful time designing and crafting this piece with him—It’s quite the unique tabletop filled with lots of character, isn’t it? Before we give you all the table details, we need to know: can YOU guess what this wood was used for before it became a table??
