These windows spent 100 years looking out from a 1926 home in the historic Dunedin Isles neighborhood. When the home was lovingly renovated, the owners hated the idea of the original windows ending up discarded — and were genuinely excited to see them become something new instead.
So they became this.
Completely built by hand with antique windows, cypress shelving, rolling casters, and an adjustable roof for airflow, this piece feels less like furniture and more like a continuation of a story.
One of the things I enjoy most about working with old materials is that they force you to be creative. Instead of making the materials fit the design, the design has to fit the materials—and that’s usually where the interesting ideas come from.
Not a bad second life for a set of nearly century-old windows. 🌱🍊
