Happy Monday everyone! We would like to educate our customers on proper trailer maintenance. In order to make sure that your trailer is in road worthy condition: check lights, check tire pressure and wiggle the wheels side to side (there should be no play because this can indicate bad bearings). Also, all boats with drain plugs, REMOVE YOUR PLUG BEFORE TRAILERING. The water held in by the plug adds extra pressure on your axles and brakes. We always pull your plug if we trailer it but make sure to do this if trailering yourself! As always if you have any boating questions or needs give us a call or stop in today! Attention customers! Here is a common example of improper service. This simple fitting was never greased properly so now this boat has had 16 hours of labor to get it fixed correctly! Something so simple like this can cause a huge headache! We hope you service your boat with us but wherever you go make sure it is done correctly so you don’t find yourself in this situation! What should have been general maintenance has turned into a very costly job!
