Motherhood is equal parts beautiful, exhausting, inspiring, and transformative… and today we celebrate all of it. 🎉🎉
At Lola Tucker Interiors, this day holds even more meaning for me because this business was named after my mom. Her love, strength, style, and unwavering support helped shape not only who I am, but the heart behind this company.
Lola Tucker Interiors was founded after my mom’s passing from ALS almost 20 years ago. After she passed, our shared love of design inspired me to take a leap of faith and leave my career in advertising to go back to design school.
While taking a design business class, we were asked to create and name our own company. I decided to honor my mom and name mine after her. Her name was Laura, but my children were very little when she was sick, so they called her “Lola.” I thought “Lola Designs” sounded a bit risqué 😉, so I added Tucker to the title — the name of our beloved Golden Retriever.
And that is how Lola Tucker Interiors was born… all thanks to my beautiful, amazing mama and our sweet dog. She is forever our good luck charm. ✨
My mom taught me that home is more than just a beautiful space — it’s how you make people feel inside it. That philosophy lives at the center of everything we do.
To my mom, and to all the incredible women raising families, creating homes, building businesses, and showing up every single day — we celebrate you today and always. 💐
