We are sisters born just 1 ½ years apart, and are as different as can be. Patty was the typical big sister, protective and constantly teaching Peggy all of life’s important lessons. Peggy was the typical little sister, protected and learning everything she could from the older. Patty lived every moment in the moment, always at Mach speed with complete abandon. Peggy was more of a deep thinker, con
templating the pros and cons of keeping up with Patty. A few years after Peggy had moved to Phoenix from Texas with her beloved border collie, Patty decided to join her sister in Arizona when returning to the U.S. from Costa Rica with her two daughters. That’s when we realized that as different as we were, we were the same. We trusted each other and respected the differences that each of us brought to our relationship. So when Peggy suggested starting a small business to re-imagine and reproduce the vintage lounge chair passed down from our mother, Patty’s immediate response was, “Okay, let’s go.”
Together we have launched LaCerte Living, LLC., named using our mother’s maiden name. Our company is built on integrity, honesty and very high quality. We’ve taken a product that has stood the tests of time and have redesigned it to fit a modern world. We believe that life should be enjoyed, and that we can contribute to that enjoyment by supplying American-made, hand-crafted, one of a kind products.
