Traveling through Germany and Austria and seeing all the beautiful wood pieces with black-filled knots reminded me of this ash tabletop. Filled this one with black Rangate knot filler—same idea, letting the imperfections stand out instead of hiding them. Funny how inspiration shows up when you’re not even in the shop

Splines aren’t just structural — when you cut them into the mitered corners of a frame, they become part of the design. Hardwood + contrast wood splines = a frame built to last a lifetime.
