On Sunday, May 24 we have our Swap Meet from 9AM to noon at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland.

Clear out those “under used” models, engines and motors, supplies and other gear and make room for something new! This is a free “rain or shine” event, so fingers crossed for good weather. Find us at 40 Westland Avenue in Portland behind the Shaws supermarket at the Westgate Shopping Plaza.

The Propsnappers Spring Float-Fly is coming up NEXT weekend…May 16 and 17 (Saturday AND Sunday) from 9AM to 2PM.

This two-day outing takes place at the picturesque Kiwanis Beach on Watchic Lake in Standish, ME. If you’ve never seen RC planes flying off the water, this is your opportunity as many folks regularly attend. Bring a floatplane and give it a go or simply stop by either day to check it out!

There is a one-day landing fee of $10 ($15 for both days) to cover our site use costs. All area club members are welcome to fly as long as you have AMA/FAA credentials.

We rolled the dice by holding our Spring Fly-In in spite of the possibility of sprinkles this morning. In true Maine fashion however, those expected sprinkles turned into full-out rain on and off throughout the event. The Propsnappers persevered, and our club meeting worked out just fine…and we were able to fly between the rain showers with everyone enjoying our time together. Looking forward now to our float-fly on May 16 & 17!

Our annual Propsnappers Field clean-up was was quite successful, with Mother Nature granting us a beautiful spring morning and plenty of members showing up to accomplish the necessary tasks. Big thanks to everyone who helped ready our site for the season!
