Final delivery completed for this year-long project on Skaneatelas lake. Rather than choosing new furniture, the family opted to use a collection of antique and handmade pieces that had been passed down through their family. Many items needed stripping, repair and refinising and we were delighted to assist in giving new life to these treasured family heirlooms. There are still quite a few pieces we did in there storage facility, once all the construction is completed on the house they will be added in.

This solid maple dresser had clearly been through a lot buried under layers of old paint. But once we stripped it down, a warm maple was revealed underneath and it was well worth the effort.

Nearly 100 years old and still going strong, it’s proof that quality craftsmanship stands the test of time.

This restoration cost a fraction of what you'd pay for most big box furniture today and unlike pressboard pieces that fall apart in a few years, this one’s built to last.

When working with antiques, one never knows what they will discover. This newspaper, found behind the back of a mirror in basically pristine condition aside from the folds, dates back to March 13, 1917. Shortly after this publication, the US officially entered WW1 on April 6, 1917.

Initially this commode presented itself with multiple layers of paint, concealing its sturdy, solid oak frame, tail and pin dove-tailed drawers, characteristic of assembly practices from around 1890. Our skilled restoration enabled the return of this piece to its original splendor at a mere fraction of the cost of a new piece, which probably wouldn't last a decade. This piece has demonstrated remarkable longevity, spanning 130 years. We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with you in breathing new life into your antique furniture.
