Casey Casey Answers in Color

This season, Casey Casey garments arrive in colors that are charged. Silhouettes repeat because new palettes and textural plays are how designer Gareth Casey alchemises.

Gareth calls himself a clothes maker. For nearly two decades he has worked quietly in a Paris atelier. He avoids interviews, trends, the limelight. Instead, he answers in color. Garden olive
anchors. English pink is born of the color prune and earthy browns. Washed cerulean blue splashes over reds. Hues disperse and dissipate—writing a story on the wearer.

This is what long practice earns. Gareth has been making clothes since 2008, returning to the same questions and the same silhouettes. The color this season is blooming. You wear it and something announces itself, softly—the way
a room changes when someone you love walks in.

Designing Tenderness: Album Di Famiglia

One evening in Lomazzo, Italy, Monica Rusconi found her mother and her infant son, Pietro, in their courtyard under the moon. They were in their bedtime clothes, wrapped tightly together with a scarf. Monica saw the moment as a pinnacle of intimacy, a primal tenderness, and a vision of love. It was also the preamble to Album di Famiglia.

Monica is a poet and an introvert. The word for Album di Famiglia is simplicity, and the concept garment is the Lombard fustagnano chemise: the single layer of European dress that touched the skin, worn by men and women across every class.

Historically, the chemise was the only classical garment laundered regularly, the only one that touched the body. It stood between the skin and the wool or silk worn over it. It was worn sleeping, worn at home, worn in private. It was the layer of intimacy in a world of public garments.

Where fashion today concerns itself with the outer pieces, Monica keeps her fascination with the layers underneath: the paper cotton shirts descended from the medieval chemise. For centuries, it stayed hidden beneath the silk and wool that performed status for the room. Monica has turned that order over. The intimate layer is now the only layer, and what the wardrobe shows is the person rather than the performance.

She designs for the feeling a family gives you at home. The fabrics are based upon the memory of a grandmother and a grandson in a courtyard, looking up at the moon.

Wild Life, Unbridled

In the last two months our Wild Life store has entered a new chapter. Shifting from a pure
home-driven concept to an integrated lifestyle space where subtle textures and quiet textiles
have found an incredible voice in the context of the rich terracotta red walls. The freshly
invigorated space now feels unbridled, inviting discovery and unexpected possibilities.

Clothing now takes center stage. Designers such as Kaval, Arts & Science, Daniela Gregis,
Eskandar, Toogood, Lauren Manoogian and Album di Famiglia anchor the store’s offerings,
introducing elevated core wardrobe pieces that balance utility and refinement. Distinctive
artifacts, polished garments, and considered home goods reflect a renewed commitment to
intellect, creativity, and confident momentum for the year ahead.

We encourage you to explore, linger, and uncover unexpected pairings, as each object and
garment sparks conversation and inspires new ways of seeing.

Casey Casey for Fall/Winter 2025 is here in a flurry of fallen leaves—this time, captured across ikat and rich cotton velvet. This season dives deep into the studio’s textile expertise, expressed across designer Gareth Casey’s most iconic shapes, such as the Pwet jacket and the Waga button-down. Of particular note in this collection is Gareth’s penchant for blended yarns—dual fiber constructions that introduce a subtle complexity of texture in each design. At his core, Gareth is reinterpreting classic, rigid shapes with a softer touch for the modern wardrobe. The garments, while minimal, are far from sterile or pristine. Stiff workwear, hardy overalls and tailored car coats turn soft and ultra-wearable under his touch. The Casey Casey aesthetic is one as layered and lived-in as the environment wherein it develops—the verdant, ancient hills of middle France. Ripe with a humble character, the artisanal simplicity of these pieces will only become more lovely with time.

A balanced designer, Daniela Gregis is as analytical as she is creative. She envisions her shapes in both macro and micro scales, considering how the garment’s place out in the world as well as the feel of a seam against the skin. All this work and more to foster a feeling of effortless spontaneity in her designs and those who wear them. Daniela Gregis’ checks, cashmere and crinkled silks call to mind some of Yarnell Abbott’s textured brush strokes and swaths of paint. Daniela seems to be cut from the same cloth Yarnall was—how serendipitous that their work would complement each other so completely.

Shibori tells a rich and complex story, curated by artisans bringing the tradition into the modern era. This resist-dyeing technique creates intricate recurring patterns by binding, stitching or tying fabric which is then immersed in deep baths of indigo. Some of the finest shibori dates back over 400 years to the Edo Period of Arimatsu, Japan, thusly named Arimatsu-Narumi Shibori. The craft serves as an ever-evolving part of Japanese heritage, particularly as expressed through the artistry of Suzusan. The brand’s Creative Director Hiroyuki Murase learned Arimatsu-Narumi Shibori from his family, who have passed the craft down through generations for over a century. Murase fused the tradition with his creative arts education in Düsseldorf, Germany, elevating the humble dyeing process into a modern one while opening minds to the future of shibori.

Riccardo Bruni, the creative force behind The House of Lyria, believes in infusing his textile designs with “structure and substance,” through muted palettes, organic materials and self-designed looming processes. By prioritizing small details such as yarn weight, weft quality and nubbiness, these pieces rise beyond mere decorative elements. Riccardo Bruni’s textiles are a masterclass in rest. Woven slowly in his Italian studio, each House of Lyria piece is specially loomed to maximize texture, softness and style–creating a range of goods that are as beautiful as they are rejuvenating.

“I want to give the impression that the fabric has lived.”– Riccardo Bruni, The House of Lyria
