Personally, we have spent the last 10 days getting our home of 18 years ready to put on the market. Lots of hard work, but breaking it down room by room or theme by theme has been very helpful. We’ve offered things to friends & family, sold a lot on Facebook Marketplace for porch pickups (a very easy process), given books to a school, and donated items to local charities. A new bride picked up our piano & music books today, and it was heartwarming how excited she was to add them to her first home.

No need to wait for a move to declutter. It’s very freeing and satisfying when our things find new homes where they can be better used!

During this season, we encourage you to take advantage of the gift of time - check-in on friends & family via FaceTime or phone calls, learn a new skill or hobby (lots of options on YouTube), exercise, play games, read and journal, try out some new recipes, and organize your home!
