A new bracket design for a local customer. She wants a silo fire pit. Purchased a 21' diameter old silo. Talked about how many legs, 8 was the final awnser. Griffin Stearns did the 3d cad work. Customer signed off and we went to town cutting them on the Bendtech dragon, welding them up with the Miller.

Concrete anchors were used to bolt the bases down, tipped up each 10' 6x6 pressure treated post she chose to use. Had to trim them down to fit inside the steel brackets. Griffin helped set the top beams inplace.
Octagon firepit is going to be really cool once the steel silo roof and a couple bands on the sides are installed. We are not doing that part.

I needed a grapple for the tractor. I priced out what I was looking for as I usually do.

Found most are either built really liteweight or have almost zero tines on the bottom. Then looked around for materials that I had here to use and build my own. Took me roughly 4 days off and on to design ,cut everything and build it. 60"wide lower half and 50"wide lid. Opens to 45ish inches and with a single cylinder still has around 14k lbs. of force. That should be enough for brush cleaning and grabbing logs to do property clean-up. Its all 3/8 inch strap or plate, 1/4" tubing in different sizes. Should do the job ! Waiting on the 3rd. function valve system for the tractor now.

Large scaled metal and wood combo sign I have been building g. Designed, cut ,built by me. Sign faces are 48x66 all steel, sandblasted then rusted. Leverage bright silver powdercoat and stand off about 1/2". Down to teardown and stain the wood 6x6's finish painting all the other brackets. Then wait for the weather to warm up a little so we can go install.

Past things we have been spending some time on. Blue steel is a rear 3 point tractor drag, I threw this together a couple years ago, it was due for some new 3/8" spikes on the bottom. Some of Griffin Stearns welding on the rear 9" axle housing for his Cherokee that is being swapped onto a 2001 Chevy Tahoe chassis. Pictured at full suspension bump. Lots of fabrication going on under this one.

Current sign project. 2 full sign faces with bolted on raised letters and logo. 1st one goes to sandblast and powdercoat tomorrow. Faces are 48 x 66 all steel.

Testing the share.

Design was based off of prints the Customer had. But made some adjustments to make them larger.

Super cool mailbox stand was a custom order as a present. Turned out really cool! The other piece is a heat shield for behind a wood stove with small shelf and hooks to dry gloves and hats. I need to build one for my own house some day.

Large scaled sign for me at the time. All aluminum, designed by a local sign company..we cut it, welded and helped him get in color and ready to install in under 2 weeks. It is still in downtown Sandpoint. The bee on top spins when they want it to. Good story about that one.. so many LED sign lights inside this one also.

A couple different benches i have done over the years. All are in Sandpoint Idaho. If you are ever at Burl wood dreams you will need to sit on the 8' wide bench.
