On December 9th, I faced a terrifying health crisis that led to emergency surgery. I was admitted with a hole in my intestine, and after a laparoscopic procedure, I lost four feet of my small intestine. I’m incredibly grateful to be alive, but the road to recovery is long and costly. My medical bills have already reached $5,500 ( a substantial discount thankfully to Kaiser )and with healthcare costs skyrocketing, I’m struggling to keep up.
