Serena Zanello with over 10 years experience in leading architecture and design productions for national
and international clients, is now working as design consultant.
She is specialized in interior design - commercial and residential - and Innovative product design. Merging the world of art, design and architecture, Serena’s work is known for its artistic glamour, creative and innovative vision.
Serena was born and raised in Ivrea, Italy where she earned her bachelor degree in Architecture at the
“Facoltà di Architettura , Polytechnic of Turin, Italy ” in December 2003.
Since graduating from the University of Architecture in Turin and getting her architecture license in
Europe, she has been working for renowned clients such; as Pininfarina Extra, Tryar Hospitality, The
Keating management Group, Starbucks Coffee Company, Paul Wylde Agency, Alaska Airlines, Alaurino Design.
From 2004 to 2006 she served as an architect at Pininfarina Extra on a broad spectrum of projects, spanning across interior and product design. This experience allowed her to develop a strong knowledge of the design process from concept to prototyping, including the development of all conceptual designs, branding, design details and sourcing of materials. Client list included: 3M, Snaidero, Dema, Unilever , Gorenje, Turin Winter Olympic Games and Ferrari.
In 2006 she was asked to contribute to a very important hotel design project for Pininfarina: The Keating, a 35-room urban lifestyle hotel in downtown San Diego where she had a prominent role as design lead managing the project from design inception to completion.
With the completion of the Keating Hotel in 2006, she decided to continue her professional experience in the United States as architect and creative director for different projects from commercial to hospitality to residential.
In 2011 she accepted a compelling offer to join the design department at Starbucks Coffee Company in San Francisco as a Design Manager where she was in charge of design, planning and ex*****on of over 40 stores per year in Northern California.
She is currently pursuing her passion for Architecture and Design leading as Creative Director her own firm Serena Zanello Design and teaching Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at the Academy of Art University.
She just launched a new design and home decor collection called since1984 based on a modular furniture system.
Serena also collaborate with a non-profit organization “Leapart” and teaches Architecture workshops for kids in san francisco elementary schools.
