The Parent Diary

The Parent Diary Exploring topics of parenting and ideas on activities parents can do with their toddlers and kids. This was when The Parent Diary brand was born.

We’ve made it our mission to design and produce great Eco-friendly Organic products that are, safe to use, made of natural materials, and are highly functional. We aim to bring you interesting, useful, funny content for those precious quite moments you have. Parenting is hard work and sometime we all need to just take a mental breather.

The Parent Diary has taken many forms over the past 5 years, it was originally started as a social sharing website for parents when our daughter was born and 3 years later we were blessed with a second. Even though we were now twice as busy, we still wanted to create something of value for our fellow parent. Both Michele and I were born and raised in working-class families in South Africa, during the apartheid era. Growing up with nothing but the bare necessities, a big emphasis was placed on good quality, reusable and functional items that would last a long time. Michele and I moved to London in our twenties and a few years later to Switzerland where we had our first child, Amber, in 2010. I think this was the catalyst for us to find, eco-friendly, sustainable and non-toxic products that we were happy to use for our first born. As new parents, we sought out anything and everything that was natural, environmentally friendly and sustainable. From clothing to diapers, from sippy cups to utensils and furniture. A few years later we moved to California where our second child, Meka, was born. Compared to living in Europe, it was so much harder to find quality, eco-friendly, sustainable and non-toxic products in the USA. So, with the experience of three years of parenting behind us, we focused our attention to not only buying natural, non-toxic and eco-friendly products but sourcing and producing our own line of functional products that where safe, made from natural organic material and met the quality standard instilled by our parents. We make it our mission to create great products that are of the highest quality possible, are safe to use and made of natural materials, to help look after the earth for all future generations. Our Story

The Parent Diary was started shortly after our daughter Bella was born in 2010, and our son Kai, in 2013. It was the catalyst that drove us to find eco-friendly, sustainable and non-toxic products for our children.

The day you become a parent, your whole life changes. Among the flood of emotions you feel, your natural instinct kicks in, to protect your child and provide them with the best. Our food choices change too, especially the food we choose for our kids. We look for products that are organic or non-GMO, as we know how important this is, for the health of our kids and for our planet. The same applies to other products that we use around the house, like cleaning products to shampoos to baby wipes. As parents, we’re committed to keeping toxins out of our home and away from our kids.

Unfortunately, eco-friendly and organic products offered at premium grocery stores are unnecessarily expensive. This is what inspired us to create The Parent Diary, to help parents, like ourselves, save on the eco-friendly, organic non-perishable products we use every day. We realized that if we could partner with the distributor we could offer parents the same eco-friendly, organic products found in premium retail grocery stores for less. Our mission is to pass on the savings to you, the Moms and Dads of our future generations.

With your support, we plan to grow the already awesome range of >800 green products.
